In my experience, games tend to move slower when they are in fullscreen mode. Sure, you could up the mouse sensitivity, but it's really just easier to play in windowed. In fullscreen, it must travel the full distance across your 2 foot diameter screen. You are essentially cropping size of your monitor to make it smaller and more manageable. If you have windowed mode at a smaller resolution, your mouse has to move less distance to get it to where you want it to be. I personally don't understand why it could possibly be a map scrolling disadvantage but I can tell you why it is actually an advantage to play in windowed mode. The most recent post I saw came from someone who said they were surprised because they thought it created disadvantages for the player, his example: a map scrolling. I decided this would be a good time to talk about why people like to play in windowed mode (even at a tournament where there is no reason to alt tab.) I've been seeing a lot of posts lately where people are noticing in screenshots and videos that a lot of the players are playing windowed mode in the tournament.
